Nostradamus (French astrologer) and one more astronomer forecasted that on 21st December 2011 a fireball will hit the Earth which will result in massive destruction. It is anticipated that Earth will face volcanic eruption, climatic change, earthquakes and other massive disasters in 2012.
These predictions were made long before when there was no highly developed scientific technology so this raises certain speculations regarding these predictions. Are these predictions spot on and accurate? Are we heading towards destruction? Well, these predictions predict the total destruction of Earth and life on it while scientists are of the view that we are heading towards certain massive changes. However, nothing can be said with collateral.
Many disasters in 2012 are expected and some of them are listed below without any proper order.
Nuclear War: There are many countries with nuclear power. The desire and greed of power may lead to a nuclear war which may lead to massive obliteration. The conclusion of a nuclear war would be a great catastrophe and upheaval. You might escape the initial effects of nuclear war but you should worry about its after effects.
Radiations: Radioactive particles are created due to atomic reactions. When these radioactive particles reach high altitude and are drafted by winds they come back to earth in the variety of fall outs. These fall outs can result into severe illness, kill live stock, contaminate crops and soil with various chemicals that are harmful for humans and other forms of life on earth.
Nuclear winter: When there is nuclear destruction a cloud and whirl of dust with radioactive particles may rise up and cover the sun. We might not see sun for many years which will result in great cold and conditions won’t be suitable to grow anything. We might see people dying from cold and hunger. You may escape the initial effects of nuclear war but the after effects will surely endanger your existence on Earth.
Volcanic eruptions: It is expected that earth will face super volcanic eruptions in 2012 that will lead to great destruction. Volcanic eruptions will not only have an effect on the people in the surrounding areas of volcanoes but the whole world will suffer due to the enormous ash cloud which will cover the sun. Once the sun is covered with ash clouds there won’t any way of for natural heat to reach on Earth and this will lead to cold which will endanger the survival of life.
Earth quakes: Another fear of 2012 is earth quakes. Volcanic eruptions and landslides will result in earth quakes which may demolish the major portion of Earth. These earth quakes are expected to be of high strength that will annihilate everything. The main reason behind these earth quakes would be volcanic eruptions that will cause earth lines to move resulting in destructive earth quakes.
Tsunamis: One of the major natural disasters in 2012 is Tsunamis. Scientists have predicted major Tsunamis will hit the earth in 2012. Earth quakes in sea cause tidal waves which result in Tsunami. Recently Asia has been affected by Tsunami causing lot of destruction but Erath will face tsunamis of greater strength in 2012.
Polar Reversal: Polar reversal is a fact and has been proved by scientific studies that it happens after every 410,000 years or so. Reasons behind polar reversal are still unknown but this reversal will lead towards major destruction due to earth quakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions.
Floods: Recently many countries mainly Pakistan has suffered from floods which resulted in great destruction. It takes a lot of time to recover from floods as you need to develop the whole infrastructure. Scientists are of the view that our earth will be flooded in 2012 resulting in great demolition. It will not be easy to escape these floods as major portion of earth is expected to face floods in 2012
Diseases: It is a well known fact that people suffer a lot from the after effects of tsunamis and floods due to various diseases. Mainly water born diseases affect human health and due to non availability of proper medication people lost their lives. Moreover, new diseases threats are growing that will endanger our existence on Earth.
