Researchers intrigued by the discovery Moonstone on the dark side of the moon.
A team of researchers has identified the spinel chromite located on throughout the vast teretorii "Sinus Aestuum" – (great plains), which many people sravnevoyut as the nose of Man on the Moon.
Unlike the "spinel" Moonstone – spinel chromite contains iron, chromium and oxygen, and belong to the same parody of minerals.
Previous studies of the moon did not specify the location of minerals, because the tools did not reach the critical length of 2 micrometers (tsm), where a key part of the dark mineral is obvious. The team also thinks that the spinel chromite – a dark mineral is a volcanic formation, and eventually appeared on the lunar surface.
